What Sets JC PROcruit C Apart
What sets JC PROcruit C apart from other youth job-matching programmes? Why should I choose JC PROcruit C?
JC PROcruit C is a journey of self-exploration traineeship programme, in particular, it provides a different career trajectory for non-professional degree graduates. It allows first-time-job-seekers to understand their values and attitudes. Industry conveners and employers have come together to introduce 16 professions in the area of Creativity, Technology, Business, and Healthcare and offer a “one-year” traineeship programme.
JC PROcruit C designed a pre-onboarding boot camp on essential workplace skills, including digital literacy, creative problem solving as well as design thinking. It also covers a range of soft skills, such as empathy, social awareness, and innovation to get first-time-job-seekers ready for a new stage in life. In addition, JC PROcruit C's partners are in collaboration to provide continuous training inside and outside workplace, as well as career events and networking occasions for trainees. Trainees will get to build valuable connections with their peers and mentors in the industry.

Despite a grim economic picture, opportunities remain abound in providing communities with human services. JC PROcruit C believes that human-centric skillsets and social innovation for good services will continue to be prized in the new normal. With human-centric professions rapidly emerging in the four sectors, this trend is a springboard for caring and motivated fresh graduates to carve out their own career trajectory in these sectors, i.e. Creativity for Good, Technology for Good, Business for Good, and Healthcare for Good and contribute to a caring society with growing need in holistic community-based care.
Does JC PROcruit C offer job opportunities outside Hong Kong?
JC PROcruit C offers only Hong Kong-based job opportunities at this stage.

Eligibility
Would my past internship experiences make me ineligible to apply for JC PROcruit C?
Internship programmes are generally different from full-time employments. You are encouraged to apply if you meet all eligibility criteria.
*The programme office will consider the eligibility of individual application at its discretion, it is recommended to submit the application as soon as possible.
Will my academic results or school grades affect my application?
No, JC PROcruit C adopts a unique and structured strength-based talent matching model through Values, Attitudes, Skills and Knowledge (VASK), which breaks through the traditional qualification-based talent matching.
Does JC PROcruit C recognise degree, sub-degree or Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) holders or equivalent qualification from overseas universities or schools?
Yes. JC PROcruit C recognises degree, sub-degree or Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) holders or equivalent qualification from overseas universities or schools.
Am I eligible for applying to the programme if my major discipline is not related to the four innovative and caring professional tracks(i.e. Business, Art & Creativity, Healthcare and Technology)?
We welcome students from any discipline and who are interested in developing their career in the four innovative and caring professional tracks to apply our positions.
It is indeed the programme’ uniqueness to encourage strengths-based talent acquisition rather than qualifications-based.
If my application in the previous cohort is unsuccessful, will this affect my application in the later cohort(s)?
You can apply for the later cohort(s) regardless of the previous application result. The chance of success in applying for the later cohort(s) depends only on whether you meet the eligibility criteria.
Are the job roles offered by the JC PROcruit C programme full-time job opportunities?
JC PROcruit C programme offers year-long full-time traineeship to first-time-job-seekers.
What trainings and support will the year-long JC PROcruit C programme offer?
JC PROcruit C supports the trainees’ transition from school to workplace for future work readiness through the unique through-train traineeship model. Trainees will participate in bootcamp that boost work readiness and workplace competencies, industry-specific onboarding training, on-the-job training, industry forums and networking events offered by the programme. Moreover, the programme offers cohort and community experience, as well as professional coaching along the journey to assist trainees in developing their own professional development pathways.

Application Process
How do I know if I have submitted my application successfully?
You will receive confirmation via email or SMS after you have submitted your application online. If you do not receive confirmation within half an hour, please contact us through enquiry@jcprocruitc.org.hk.
I am currently studying abroad or on overseas exchange, how shall I submit my application? Will this affect my application?
Regardless of the geographical location that you are currently at, you shall submit your application via our online application system. In principle, you are required to attend our interview in person for our better assessment of your overall competence. If you are currently staying overseas, please state your situation and availability for interviews in your online application. We will try our best to adjust the arrangement accordingly.
And you also need to attend the multi-days bootcamp in person, which is mandatory as traineeship offering, as per the respective cohort schedule.
Can I apply for more than one job position?
Yes, each candidate can select up to TWO traineeship positions across the four different sectors.
Other than the online recruitment system, are there alternative ways I can submit my application?
We only accept applications that are submitted via our online application system.
Can I submit an early application for the next cohort?
Applicants are encouraged to submit their applications as soon as possible, as the applications are being reviewed on a rolling basis.
For applicants who did not receive job offers in Cohort 1, they would be given a higher priority for applying to other job roles in other cohorts, and would also receive email notification when the new cohort’s application is open.

Technical Support for Application Portal
I forgot the login name or password of the recruitment system. What should I do?
You can select the "Don't know your password?" button on the login page of the application system, and you can reset the relevant password.
Can I amend/update my application after I submit it?
You can modify the application at any time before the submission of the application. However, you cannot make any change(s) through the online application system once you have submitted the application.
How can I track the progress of my application?
Applicants can always check the application progress in their JC PROcruit C portal personal account.

Selection Process
Do I get to choose which company to join?
You cannot choose the company at application stage. Yet after the final interview, if you receive multiple traineeship offers, you have the option to choose the one you are most interested in. Please be reminded that you should let us know if you are not going to attend the interview arranged by the employer.
After submitting the online application, when will I receive information about the interview arrangement?
You can always check your application status in the JC PROcruit C portal. Applicant who pass the selection process will receive an email notification about the interview arrangements within 2 - 3 weeks after the application deadline.
What documents do I need to prepare before the interview?
Please bring along the original copy of the following documents to attend face-to-face interview:
1st Round of Group Interview
• Hong Kong Identity Card (HKID card)
2nd Round of One-on-One Interview with Employer (two different organisations)
• HKID card
• Passport Photo
• Proof of Academic Qualifications
• Proof of Work Reference (if any)
• Personal Portfolio (if any)
What are the selection criteria for the interview?
The selection criteria for the interview will be based on the applicant's interest and enthusiasm in the industry and position. The talents and skills learnt from life experience shown in the interview will also be used to further understand the applicant's values, attitudes, skills and knowledge. Will I receive further notice if I was not selected?
We will notify the applicant about the result via email or through the JC PROcruit C notification channel.
After attending the first and/or second round of interviews, do I still get to change the selected trainee position?
To ensure the fairness of the assessment, the programme will not allow the applicant to change their selected trainee position.
Is there any replacement in case another trainee drops out from the programme?
Programme does not offer by-election arrangement. However, applicant who did not successfully enter the first cohort, can apply for the relevant position again in the second cohort / third cohort.

Trainees' Benefits and Commitment
Is it compulsory to attend all trainings?
Yes, all trainings are part of the programme to well equip trainees' knowledge and skill set before onboarding to support the transition from school to workplace, which is also mandatory as part of traineeship offering pre-requisite.
Does external training take place during paid working hours?
Yes. You have to attend external training during paid working hours (except the multi-day bootcamp training). Some professional development activities, such as coaching, industry forums and online seminars, may be conducted during weekends and other non-paid working hours.
Will my position, salary or fringe benefits be adjusted during traineeship?
No. Your position, salary or fringe benefits will remain unchanged during traineeship.
Is MPF covered in the salary and benefits package?
The monthly salary includes the employee's mandatory 5% contribution.

Post-Traineeship Arrangement
Will my employment be extended upon completion of the programme?
The duration of the JC PROcruit C programme is one year. You may be eligible to extend the employment contract subject to employers' decision and trainee’s satisfactory performance.
Is JC PROcruit C recognised by other companies and organisations in the job market? How will it help my future career development?
JC PROcruit C's traineeship is a valuable and well-recognised asset in any resume/CV and can serve as the foundation for both personal and professional development. After completion of the programme, you are able to build capacity as well as transferrable skills to enhance employability and improve future readiness not limited to the four core industry sectors in the job market.
